Psychiatry

The person responsible for this area is a psychiatrist whose basic function is the assessment, diagnosis and pharmacological treatment of patients. This person also provides a constant and close supervision and assessment of the patient in order to make adjustments of medications as required by the evolution of the patient´s progress. Psychiatric support is available in outpatient, inpatient and emergency services.

When CADE provides support as a clinical institution to a patient with an outside psychiatrist, we give that psychiatrist all the support needed for the containment of his or her patient as indicated.

The communication between the psychiatrist and the area of nursing and tutoring is constant. Every day the psychiatrist is informed of the evolution of the patient, and in case of any emergency or incident, the psychiatrist is informed immediately.
