Nutrition
Nutrition is an essential factor to consider for people to achieve complete
well-being and forms part of a comprehensive and effective treatment in
eating disorders. Good and proper nutrition contributes to the emotional
stability of patients with any disorder and helps to generate the positive
change necessary to having a balanced and happy life.
The nutritionist is responsible for making a nutritional assessment to
those patients who want to achieve an appropriate weight according to
their size, age and sex, as well as those who are interested in having a
balanced diet.
The feeding plan offered in CADE is specialized and personalized, aiming
to achieve adequate balance; as well as preventing, correcting or
improving malnutrition and its physical and physiological effects due to an
eating disorder, depression, anxiety or stress.
Nutritional consultations are obligatory for all inpatients and are available
to all outpatients at their request and when advised by their doctor or
psychologist as a complementary part of treatment.
